Mr. Bones, or simply Skeleton Ghosts, are a unique type of ghost that Luigi encounters in Luigi's Mansion.
When they appear, they will first be a pile of bones, reassemble themselves with a clattering noise, and will throw a bone at Luigi. They will then disassemble themselves, after which they will move away at a fairly fast speed. They are also vulnerable to any element.
One is first encountered in the Boneyard where it was disturbed by Spooky's barking. It must be defeated in order to capture Spooky. Mr. Bones are also found in the Graveyard and have to be defeated to lure out Bogmire. More Mr. Bones are encountered in the Telephone Room after the Blackout.
As with many other ghosts, they are significantly more common in the game's Hidden Mansion, and notably appear in the Astral Hall.
